Cord and Tina Roberts

Cordero ("Cord") Roberts and Tina Clayton Lord were a couple on the American ABC soap opera, One Life to Live. Cord was played by John Loprieno, and Tina was portrayed most notably by Andrea Evans, and later by Karen Witter and Krista Tesreau.
Cord and Tina first met in 1986, when Tina traveled to El Paso, Texas to find about a woman named Maria,who had written Clint Buchanan. Maria Roberts wanted Clint to give her son Cord a photography job at The Banner. Cord and Tina immediately fell in love, and when she returned to Llanview a week later, she had to face her fiancee, Richard Abbott. Soon after, she discovered that Cord was Clint's illegitimate son! This meant that he was worth a pretty decent amount of money, which is what Tina wanted most of all. With that, Tina broke her engagement with Richard and she and Cord married for the first of three times, in 1986.
Maria, who despised Tina, brought her friend, Max Holden (James DePaiva) to town the following year, hoping that he could convince her to go with him to Argentina. She was unaware that Tina was pregnant, and Cord himself didn't know until he, Max, and Tina were all in Argentina, where she was soon kidnapped by Jamie Sanders, which led to her going over a waterfall, and she and her unborn baby were both presumed dead.
During this time, Cord and Kate Sanders (played by Marcia Cross), Jamie's sister, grew close, and were soon engaged. Tina, meanwhile, in a weary state, gave birth to a precious baby boy, who was soon taken by the Indians in that area, leaving her to believe that she had miscarried her child going over the waterfall. She soon befriended the pregnant Gabrielle Medina (Fiona Hutchison), who had been impregnated by Max, and helped her give birth to her son, Al (Nathaniel Marston).
Though she loved Max, Gabrielle had been led to believe that he and Tina were married (as Tina and Cord did separate at some point, and she did hook up with Max), and so she gave Tina her baby, thinking that she would pass off the baby as hers and Max's child. Tina, however, had other ideas. She wanted to pass Al off as her son with Cord. She made it back to Llanview—just in time for Cord and Kate to be pronounced husband and wife. In one of daytime television's most memorable scenes, Tina, with the baby in her arms, walked up to Cord:
"Stop! Am I too late? Cord, I've come so far…this is your son." and collapses as the episode's concluding cliffhanger.
