Update: I have an email from the world.guns.ru website admin saying that as far as he knows, images on his site are PD unless otherwise marked. That doesn't necessarily give us the origin of the image, however. Is there somewhere I should put the email for reference purposes here? Georgewilliamherbert 18:59, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Sid Haig (history · last edit) from [85]. Almost all of this Wikipedia's Sid Haig article stems from this one edit[86] which is a copy-and-paste from Sid Haig's copyrighted IMDB biography, [87], predating this page by months[88]. Quatloo 02:30, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

The biography in question was written by me, submitted to IMDB by me, and put on Sid Haig's official site, BY ME, as I am an Administrator there. The bio is clearly licensed for use to this site on Sid's site. I cannot ask IMDB to post a license. I even updated this site's source when we built a new website. It is CLEARLY posted on the discussion page of the article. More homework should have been done on this before it was blown up unnecessarily.Spirot 03:23, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

There was a link to something, but it was to a 404 NOT FOUND page, not any kind of a license. Quatloo 03:33, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Really? I'm looking at it right now. And it states, as I said: "Sid Haig / SidHaig.com All Rights Reserved Licensed for use to Wikipedia 2/2007" If you still for some reason cannot see it, simply go here and click on "Biography". Now if, after you have seen this proof, which has already satisfied Wiki's Admins and rating board, you still have a dilemma, I really have no idea how to placate you. I have done all asked of me by Wiki Admin and worked very hard to get that page where it is, so I would appreciate no more monkeying about with it. Thank you.Spirot 04:09, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Quatloo, it would help if you used the link I posted under "UPDATED LINK". See, I did that because the site - with the bio - moved. That means not to click on the old link, as the site isn't there any longer. I'm sure if you go to the very next paragraph under the one you're in and read it, then click the UPDATED link, you'll see what you're searching for. Give it a try.Spirot 04:28, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I have now added a source statement, regarding the license, to the article, to avoid this type of thing again. It would be nice if we could end this now.Spirot 04:30, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
