I HAVE FINALLY RETURNED TO WIKIPEDIA!

Hello! It's Monday, 9 April 2007. My Wikipedian handle is Constafrequent and this is my user page for it.

[edit] Introduction

[edit] The name (or "How I drank coffee and rambled on")

I coined my online allonym by contracting the words constant and infrequent. It's a portmanteau that makes little sense to me (lol) because it communicates "constantly frequent" rather than "infrequently constant", which is an oxymoron I've applied to describe the continuity and change all around. Human beings and their surroundings are infrequently constant – constantly developing just like Wikipedia!

We're not just about survival but innovation too. We do so many things correctly each day for us to survive, like breathing and sleeping (although as a diagnosed Wikipediholic I'm more likely to make 40 edits than get "forty winks"), but we strive towards discovery and invention for us to feel happy that our existence here has a worthwhile purpose.

So, I'm changing, you're changing, the 'pedia is changing, and some core goals apply to me, you and this project included. However different people here may be, and whatever differences they may experience, for what we're here to do we're not that different at all. And through all the change around us, what is frequently constant is the sprit fundamental to this project that embiggens us all. Onwards and upwards!

Picture of the day
Saffron

A pile of saffron threads (each about 20 mm in length) from Iran. Saffron is a spice derived from the flower of the saffron crocus and is among the world's costliest spices by weight. In Western countries, the average retail price is $2200/€1550/£1100 per kilogram ($1,000/€700/£500 per pound). Besides its use as a seasoning, it has also used in its history as fragrance, dye, and medicine.
