Conrad Holland is qualified in power engineering and has been active in rural electrification in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands and New Zealand for 25 years. He is happy to answer inquiries on the use of single wire earth return (SWER) for rural electrification, and grid connected rural electrification in general. He is the author of www.ruralpower.org a site that attempts to foster the use of SWER and believes that SWER and other electrification technologies will reduce poverty in developing countries.
