Template talk:Congressional delegation

This template should presumably be merged with {{CurrentCongDeleg}}. —wwoods 05:41, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think so. This template was created specifically because folks want the CurrentCongDeleg kept at the 109th Congress since it's still in session. I wanted something to represent the 110th since that's what the recent election was to decide and what people are likely to look for - at least for freshman sens and reps. The two templates can't co-exist at least until January 2007.
- After January 2007, I think CurrentCongDeleg should be phased out and replaced with an enhanced version of this template. CurrentCongDeleg is too specific in that it only allows for the "current" Congress. What if I want to show an upcoming Congress or a Congress from the past? Can't do it while the name is CurrentCongDeleg. Templates with "Current" in them are bad in general IMHO - this isn't Wikinews. But this whole last part is my secret master plan and has not been discussed with anyone. We can cross that bridge when we come to it - unless anyone wants to discuss now. —Wknight94 (talk) 05:55, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
