Talk:Conservative parties in Canada

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For clarity, I believe that this page should be titled "Canadian right-wing political parties." My reasons are:

  1. "Conservative" is associated with the federal party of the same name. Confusing!
  2. "Right-wing" is more widely defined. Some will say you cannot be conservative AND socially liberal, for example.
I'd like to go ahead with the change, but I'll wait to see if there are any suggestions!--Colle 02:10, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
Sorry to disagree, but I think that this is the more likely name for people to look for when they are looking for the "conservative movement". Moreover, the old PC Party, especially when being described by its Red Tory members, did not feel that right wing was a good description for their party. - Jord 03:07, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
