[edit] Stadium name discussion
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
I have been on the telephone to Grimsby Town Football Club today (Monday 12th March 2007). As it stands the project name is still "Conoco Stadium". This name was agreed prior to Conoco and Phillips merging and there have been no further discussions regarding the stadium's name since then. Therefore please do not alter the stadium's name at all until we hear future information from the football club. Those who remain unconvinced please telephone the club on 01472 605050 and choose option 5 for the New Stadium Office. GrimGary 15:10, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- So we are now agreed it is a Project name. We will see in two years what agreement the two parties come to on maning the stadium in Great Coates —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 161.16.0.112 (talk • contribs) 15:29, Mar 12, 2007 (UTC).
- This indicates that the club have not been in contact with ConocoPhillips in the last five years and all information regarding the stadium's name is out of date. It certainly would not feature the old 'Conoco' logo as your website does. TomGreen 15:33, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Nobody ever disputed its project name, it will always just be a project name until it's actually built. Out of date or not, nothing has changed regarding the stadium's projected name at this precise moment in time. therefore the factuality of this article is not disputed, as I said in the above comment, if you're unconvinced contact the club, don't keep editing this article just because you alone don't agree with it. By the way, it is not MY web site, Grimsby Town Football Club created it. GrimGary 15:38, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
