Controlled Bleeding

Controlled Bleeding were an experiment / industrial band formed in 1979 by Paul Lemos and Gary Pecorino and later joined by Joe Papa, Craig Berry, and Chris Moriarty. Starting out as Body Sink, Controlled Bleeding was based out of Massapequa, New York. They released numerous albums on various independent labels. They disbanded in 2000.
Various configurations of Controlled Bleeding members operated the side projects Joined at the Head, Skin Chamber, Fat Hacker and In Blind Embrace. There was some overlap between the work of these projects and the work of Controlled Bleeding (eg. most of the 'Joined at the Head' EP appeared on Controlled Bleedings 'Penetration' album). In addition Lemos released two solo albums and one with Papa using their own names. Moriarty also released an album under the name Body Clock.
Controlled Bleedings sound is varied and unusual and often contains elements of dub, jazz, noise, dark ambient, and classical musics.
