Consumed is the third studio album by the Canadian electronic music artist Richie Hawtin as Plastikman. The album is an exploration of Plastikman's ambient side and features none of the frantic Detroit techno experiments he was chiefly renowned for at the time. According to Hawtin, 'Consumed' was designed as an exploration of the idea of sonic space, inspired by the vast expanses of Michigan's and Ontario's plains. The album is dominated by extremely sparse basslines and percussion, combined with 'spatial' sound effects, such as reverb, stereo, and delay effects.
