Constant Star

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Constant Star is a play by Tazewell Thompson. It is about civil rights activist Ida B. Wells. She is represented in the play by five women, who portray her (and, briefly, other characters) throughout various points in her life. The show is set in a newspaper office in the late 19th century. Although the play is not a musical, the five Idas sing five-part a cappella spirituals at various points.
