Constance DeFotis

Constance DeFotis is a singer, conductor, and musical teacher, currently the resident Director of Choral Activities at the University of Connecticut. She has taught at University of Chicago, Harvard University, The College of William and Mary, the Knabenchor der St. Hedwigs-Kathedrale in Berlin, Vassar College, Lake Forest College, Wellesley College and DePaul University.

Dr. DeFotis is known for her interpretations of new music, especially by new German composers. She is multilingual, and specializes in German diction.

Dr. DeFotis may be best known for her many years as the Associate Conductor of the Holden Choirs at Harvard University, where she travelled on many world tours with the Harvard Glee Club, Radcliffe Choral Society, and Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum. She was also instrumental in raising the status of the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus at the university.
