Consort Li

Li Fei (Traditional Chinese: 麗妃; Simplified Chinese: 丽妃) of the Tatala clan (他他拉氏) (1837 - 1890). Daughter of Jiahai (庆海). She entered the Forbidden City in 1850 to marry the Xianfeng emperor who was 6 years older. During the same time Lady Yehenola (the future Empress Dowager Cixi) entered the palace as well. To years she was granted the title of Li Gui Ren (麗貴人) while Cixi was granted the title of Lan Gui Ren. 2 years later in 1854 Li Gui Ren was promoted to Imperial Concubine (嬪"pin") being promoted 10 months later than Cixi.

In 1855 Li Pin gave birth to the emperors first daughter, Princess Rongan Ku Lun (榮安固倫公主). Because Li Pin gave birth to the emperors first child she was directly promoted to consort in ordinary (妃"Fei"). This time being promoted 10 months earlier then Cixi. Li Fei being the emperor's favourite was promoted to imperial consort (麗皇貴妃"Li Huang Gui Fei") after the death of her husband Xianfeng in 1861.

Li Fei's daughter died in 1874 at the age of 19. One year later the Tongzhi emperor died as well and Zaitian became emperor with the reign title of Guangxu. During the reign of the Guangxu emperor Li Fei was granted the title of Li Huang Gui Tai Fei (麗皇貴太妃). Li Fei being often sick died of illness in 1890 at the age of 53. She was buried in the Dingling Mausoleum for concubines (定陵妃園寢) 3 years later, together with Mei Gui Fei (玫貴妃) who died 7 months before her.

After her death Li Fei was granted the title of Zhuang Jing Huang Gui Fei (庄靜皇貴妃).
