[edit] Trivia
- The album's title comes from the Sermon on the Mount. When asked why he chose this as his album's title, David Eugene Edwards replied, "I wanted to remind myself of the birds. I am often anxious. I need to fall on my faith more."[1]
- The album art was done by Gina Fallico, a longtime friend of David Eugene Edwards.[2]
- The Speaking Hands was featured on the Paste Magazine sampler CD #13 along with other artists such as Tom Langford, Arcade Fire, Neko Case, John Butler Trio & more. [3]
