Conor Gormley is a two-time All-Ireland medal winner and All Star Winner in 2003, and 2005. He plays for Tyrone.

One of his best remembered moments in a Tyrone jersey was in the 2003 All-Ireland Final against Armagh. With two minutes remaining in the match, and Tyrone a vulnerable three points ahead, Stephen McDonnell, who had already scored five goals in the Championship had picked up the ball in a very dangerous area, and was baring down on goal. As he kicked the ball, Gormley came out of nowhere to make an outstanding diving block to prevent an almost certain goal.[1]

In August 2006, Gormley suffered a double leg break in a club game.[2] This ruled him out for the rest of the year, although he is expected to make his return to club and county action in March 2007.[3]

Gormley won the 2005 Tyrone Senior Club Football Championship with Carrickmore, and has now been made club captain.[3]
