Connecticut Company

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Connecticut Company was the primary street railway company in the U.S. state of Connecticut from 1920 to 1936. It was controlled by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, which operated almost all the steam rail lines in the state. After 1936, when many of its leases were dissolved, it continued operating streetcars and buses in certain Connecticut cities until 1972.
