Conn Jackson (born January 24, 1972) is an award winning host, creator, and Executive Producer of the “Conn Jackson Show’.[2]. A TV show that he created right after 9/11 to recognize people, places and activities making a difference. The show currently airs in Australia, Bermuda, and 60 Markets in the US including Boston, Dallas, and Atlanta. This former Harvard grad, left the Investment Banking world after 9/11 with a clear vision. Return to his entertainment roots, where he was a young executive with the Walt Disney Company, and create TV that not only entertained and informed, but also inspired. His inspiration came from Oprah. He decided after a long search Atlanta would be the best place to incubate his idea for impacting TV. His entrepreneur effort started in Atlanta.

[edit] Birth, education, and family

Jackson was born in Redondo Beach, CA as Conn Patrick Jackson, the son of Dr Douglas Jackson (a doctor and researcher) and Karen (Kennedy) Jackson, and the sister of Megan English (entrepreneur). He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where gained his Bachelor of Arts Degree. He also went to Harvard University were he received his MBA. While at Harvard he was President of the President’s Council and President of his Section.

Conn was first introduced to Nicole Johnson, Miss America 1999 on a blind date. Nine months later they were engaged. Close to the wedding the engagement was called off. Conn is presently single. He has dated Spanx founder Sara Blakely.

Conn dedicated the creation to the show to his mother. “I want her to have a program she can be proud and honored to watch,” was quoted in Points North[3]. He adheres to the principles she taught him as a young boy. Be appreciative, encourage others, work harder than anyone else, believe in yourself, give back, be truthful, and always be a gentlemen. Her motto for Conn was “Take no prisoners.” His mother had a major influence on his life basically raising him as his mother/father. Conn’ father choose not to be apart of Conn’s life after he divorced Conn’s mother. Conn was only 5 years old at the time of the divorce. Various times Conn has spoken of the pain of that occasion. Many of the public service announcements run during the show relate to fathers getting involved in there children’s life.

At the for front of Conn’s life is fighting for women’s issues. He often quoted as saying, “I believe my Mom deserved better and so do women of today.” He has an active role in the Women’s Leadership Exchange [http:\\womensleadershipexchange.com] where he serves as a board member. He volunteers and commits to being in the lives of young people encouraging them to live out their dreams. He also has high profile women on his show. Recent women include Maya Angelou, Jane Fonda, Arianna Huffington.
