Congress Watch

Congress Watch is a division of Public Citizen that champions consumer interests before the U.S. Congress and serves as a government watchdog. They lobby to strengthen health, safety and environmental protections; demand an end to corporate subsidies; fight to preserve citizen access to the courts to redress corporate wrongdoing; and seek to ensure a strong democracy by exposing the harmful impact of money in politics and advocating for comprehensive campaign finance reform, including, but not limited to creating a system of Public Financing for Congressional Elections. Laura MacCleery is Director of Public Citizen’s Congress Watch division. She is dedicated to improving access to civil justice for consumers and to producing a more ethical and sound government with public financing of elections and other reforms. [2]
Craig Holman, Ph.D. is a Legislative Representative for Public Citizen’s Congress Watch. Previously, he served as Senior Policy Analyst at NYU’s Brennan Center for Justice. Dr. Holman is a nationally recognized authority in campaign finance and governmental ethics.
Taylor Lincoln serves as Research Director of Congress Watch. He has authored or co-authored several ground-breaking reports for Congress Watch, including the lobbying campaign of the super-wealthy to repeal the estate tax, the stealth effort of Senator Bill Frist and the pharmaceutical industry to craft a liability shield for products used to treat a pandemic illness, and the sum of campaign contributions from lobbyists to members of Congress.
