COWE Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs [www.co-we.com], as the name suggests is an NGO/social organization engaged in the social and economic upliftment of women through entrepreneurship. The slogan “Gearing women power” stands for the democratic structure of COWE and stands for “Of the women, for the women and by the women”.

Inuagurated on 22nd December 2004 by Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy at Jubilee Hall, Hyderabad, India. Has over two hundred members who are entrepreneurs in the fields of[[ [Food Processing]]], Information Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Printing, Packaging, Manufacturing, Retailing, Industries, Textiles and the like.

COWE's vision is to build a women force that is economically empowered, valued citizens of the nation. By pooling the dormant talent, skills, practical knowledge and resources of a woman and combining it with her intrinsic quality of dedication and commitment, we will achieve this.


COWE's mission is to enhance women's opportunities in achieving the vision by creating a resource base of technical know how, management, marketing skills, finance, infrastructure and equipment to promote entrepreneurship.

At GITEX-2007, COWE  organised a seminar on “Capacity Building in IT/ITES –Challenges and Opportunities for Entrepreneurs”.at GITEX 2007(in collaboration with Dubai World Trade Center and IndiaSoft).GITEX 2007 is a premier exhibition focused on Information and Communication Technology, that brings large participation from international and domestic companies and users, both companies and individuals. GITEX 2007, conducted during 9th to 11th January 2007 at HITEX center, NAC grounds, Hyderabad; GITEX IndiaSoft 2007 Was inaugurated by Shri Dayanidhi Maran, Hon'ble Minister, Communications & IT, Govt. of India on 8th Jan 2007. 

On the occasion of this prestigious event, Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) has conducted a seminar under the aegis of IT&C department, in parallel to sessions being conducted by NASSCOM, HYSEA, & CII. COWE is a non-profit business organization working towards promoting participation and development of women in various social and economic sectors through entrepreneurial development training and exposing them to various business and developmental opportunities aiming to make a perceptible difference in the cause of women and to lay a path for their economic and social independence through development of entrepreneurship facilities for them, especially in the sector of ICT.
