Concatomer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A concatemer is the serial linking of chunks of DNA. During the late stage of bacterial infection by phages, long DNA molecules called concatemers are formed. These polymeric molecules consist of copies of the genome linked end to end, and separated by cos sites (a protein binding nucleotide sequence that occurs once in each copy of the genome).
