[edit] League of Peoples
Not knowing enough about the series that this novel is placed in, what would be the previous and next novels in the series, or are the novels unrelated apart from being placed in the same fictional universe? Grey Shadow 07:07, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
I suspect that the characters in the novels will all meet up at some future point and time. The novels roughly split into two sub-groups: The Expendable Sub-Series and the Spark Lords Sub-Series
Expendable Sub-Series novels are:
* Expendable (1997) * Vigilant (1999) * Hunted (2000) * Ascending (2001) * Radiant (2004)
The Expendable Series follows the life of Festina Ramos and her adventures, each novel is narrated by a different character with the only character that is consistantly in all of the novels being Festina (though there are some minor reacuring characters that are not in every novel).
Spark Lord Sub-Series novels are:
* Commitment Hour (1998) * Trapped (2002)
The Spark Lord Series is a series of novels which have only one connection to each other, the presence of the Knowledge-Lord Rashid of Spark as a minor character (he appears to be the only reacuring character).
(This next bit is speculation and spoilers) Certain events in Ascending and Radiant point to most or all of the narrating characters in all of novels (both Sub-Series) and many of the major characters in Radiant (all the characters that went down to the planet) being important to the elder races of the League of Peoples (one character for each elder race, as kind of a champion to solve a future Major Problem). I figure there has to be at least 1 more Expendable novel and 1 more Spark Lord novel and then a tie-in novel (which would probably include Festina and Rashid) which could be the last or second last of the books (with the last book wrapping up the unknown future Major Problem that is troubling the League of Peoples). Even if this major problem is resolved there is still a lot of room in the setting for other stories. Hell I could have it all wrong. (end of speculation and spoilers).
