Pete and Dud: Come Again
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pete and Dud: Come Again is a stage play about Peter Cook and Dudley Moore written by Chris Bartlett and Nick Awde. This comedy drama had a sellout run at the Assembly Rooms as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2005 before transferring to London's West End at The Venue, in March 2006, in a version starring Kevin Bishop as Moore and Tom Goodman-Hill as Cook. It was published in playtext form by Methuen.
Pete and Dud: Come Again examines the highly influential comic relationship that existed between comedians Cook and Moore. Set in a chat show during the early eighties, it tells their tale from the perspective of Dudley Moore, celebrating the contribution he made to their comedy. In June 2006 it transferred for a short run in Auckland, New Zealand, as part of the Bruce Mason Centre's Best of British festival, and tours the UK in Spring 2007, starting at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guilford.
