I corrected the Sakhalin Island (southern part of it was Japanese prior to WW2) and made the colors a bit more discernible. -- Kpalion 12:14, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Missing?

Shouldn't Nicaragua be salmon coloured? The Sandistas ruled from 1979-1990. As well as Benin. It states them in the article, so i've will add them. "From 1974 to 1989 Kérékou ran the country as a socialist state, earning for the country the label of "Africa's Cuba". "--ThrashedParanoid 15:34, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

What the hell are you talking about? Sandinistas came to power in 1979 (the group did certainly not rule from 1961), and ruled as a major part of the Junta of National Reconstruction, until the free, democractic, multiparty elections in late 1984, in which they won absolute majority. Following the same logic you should put Sweden in the list too, as the SAP (likewise a reformist socialist party) held total control of the countrys parliament from 1932 to 1977... give me a break. ----

[edit] Somalia

I suggest removing Somalia. Somalia was a one-party state with socialist characteristics, but SRSP was not a marxist-leninist party. Either the image is limited to countries governed by m-l parties, or a whole lot of other countries needs to be added. --Soman 09:42, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Petsamo

Shouldn't Petsamo have a different colour? --Soman 10:58, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
