Comtec Racing

Comtec Racing is a motor racing team based in the United Kingdom. It competes in two championships — Formula Renault 2.0 and World Series by Renault.

The team was launched in 2001 by Jonathan Lewis and Pierre Moncheur after Van Diemen decided to close down their works race team.

Additional recruitments to the team saw ex-Lotus F1 driver Martin Donnelly as Driver Development Manager.

The engineering staff at Comtec Racing is headed by and Roly Vincini as their engineering director who has a seasoned history in motor sport including working with Nelson Piquet and Ayrton Senna.

John Barnett is the Team Manager and Chief Engineer for the Formula Renault 2.0 division of the team. Sam Slowley is the Operations Director for the entire team.

In 2006 Comtec Racing are competing in the World Series By Renault, as well as the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and returning to the British Formula Renault Championship after an absence of one year.
