Composer 669 was the first (December 1992) 8-channel PCM tracker released for the PC. It produced .669 format module files and was created by Thomas "Tran" Pytel of the pioneering U.S. based demogroup Renaissance. It was a short-lived tracker and was supplanted by the 32-channel MultiTracker in November of 1993.

It was derivative of Composer 667, which was released by Tran in December of 1991. The interface is similar, but Composer 667 uses Yamaha's OPL2 chip (found in all Adlib and SoundBlaster cards of the time) to produce sound using FM synthesis instead of PCM.
