Compadre Records

Compadre Records is a Houston-based independent record label that specializes in roots music. Compadre’s artists include Billy Joe Shaver, Honeybrowne, Suzy Bogguss, Flaco Jimenez, James McMurtry, Hayes Carll, among others. Compadre has also release a successful series of Texas music compilations (Brewed in Texas; Texas Road Trip; Texas Outlaws; Brewed in Texas 2; Let's Step Outside).
Brad Turcotte/President – Brad has worked for Columbia Records (radio promotion) and Curb Records (marketing) in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent several years as a songplugger for a Nashville music publisher, A.P.I., representing the song catalogs of, most notably, Robbie Fulks and Joe Diffie. Brad has worked for artist management and booking firm Bobby Roberts Company, assisting with the careers of John Anderson, Merle Haggard, and Lee Greenwood, among others. He moved back to Texas to accept employment with ABC Radio Networks in Dallas. In 2001, Brad started Compadre Records. Turcotte has a Music Business degree from Belmont University in Nashville, and recently earned his law degree.
Logan Rogers/Vice President - Director of A&R - Logan worked for several years at VFR Records in Nashville. During his time at VFR, Logan worked on projects such as Trent Summar & The New Row Mob and Mark McGuinn. He was part of the promotion team that scored a top five Country hit with McGuinn's "Mrs. Steven Rudy." He also worked at Commotion PR, a Nashville publicity company, with clients such as Bruce Robison, BR549, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Sony Legacy’s Willie Nelson reissues. Prior to Commotion, Logan spent a couple of years at Grassroots Media, another Nashville publicity company, where he assisted on projects including Steve Earle, Leftover Salmon, and Terry Allen. Logan is a graduate of Belmont University with a degree in Music Business and a member of the Americana Music Association.
