Community for Democracy and Human Rights

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Community for Democracy and Human Rights, also known as "Commonwealth for Democracy and Rights of Nations"[1], is an international organization formed on June 14, 2006 in Sokhumi by the leaders of the unrecognized governments of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria - Sergey Bagapsh, Eduard Kokoity and Igor Smirnov.

This is mostly a Russia-backed initiative coming in a moment when the concerned states Georgia and Moldova (where the three territories lie) have been involved in initiatives to remove Russian peacekeepers from the territories.
