Community Sports Leader Award
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Community Sports Leader Award is an award scheme supported by the British Sports Trust. It is open to anyone over the age of 16, often in the sixth form, and is done over a duration of one year.
The scheme aims to give students the necessary skills to lead groups in sport and recreational activities. It encourages participants to take responsibility for others and develop organisational and communication skills. CSLA allows for the building of confidence, skills and knowledge enabling the candidates to become voluntary leaders in community sports.
CSLA is a recognised qualification which is highly regarded by the service and leisure industries as well as general employment. Holders of the award are considered to have initiative and the ability to present themselves effectively.
