Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee

Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee (formerly known as ACHOICE) funds and supports social and environmental organizations in metropolitan Milwaukee through employee-giving programs in the workplace. Community Shares has been funding the non-profit work of its member agencies since 1981.

Organizations in the Community Shares federation address a wide range of issues, including:

  • working to end, prevent and help those affected by

    • drug abuse
    • racism
    • sexism
    • homophobia
    • unemployment
    • violence
    • homelessness
    • child abuse
  • working to improve upon and promote
    • civil liberties
    • environmental sustainability
    • education in a range of areas, including

    • quality of life for the elderly
    • neighborhood development
    • fair, affordable housing
    • safe, just work environments
    • civil, human and consumer rights

Community Shares runs both private sector and public sector workplace-giving campaigns.
