The Communist Union (CU) was a small New Jersey-based communist group in the United States. It was led by Amiri Baraka and published Unity & Struggle.

In May 1998, the CU was dissolved through a votation in the Central Committee (3 to 2). Baraka then formed another organization, For a Better World.
