Communist Party of Germany/Marxists-Leninists

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Communist Party of Germany/Marxists-Leninists (German: Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands/Marxisten-Leninisten, KPD/ML) was an anti-revisionist pro-China party in West Germany that was sympathetic to Enver Hoxha, the communist leader of Albania. The KPD/ML was formed by Ernst Aust in 1968 as a split from the Communist Party of Germany (KPD). Its periodical was Roter Morgen. In 1986, the KPD/ML merged with the International Marxist Group to form the Unified Socialist Party (VSP).

A handful of members opposed to the VSP split off and formed the "Communist Party of Germany/Marxists Leninists (Red Star)" in 1986. This group maintains a strong anti-revisionist ideology.
