Cadence Proprietary Format is an industry coalition spearheaded by Cadence Design Systems, Inc. to help monopolize power specifications. The coalition includes semiconductors AMD, ARM Ltd., ATI Technologies, Fujitsu, Freescale, NEC, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC). CPF is widely rumored to have patent and adoption issues.
