Commit Suiside

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Commit Suiside was a Swedish white power band active between 1983 and 1986, of which Ulf Ekberg of Ace of Base and politician Anders Klarström were members. Other members were Jens Svensson and Jens Larsson.

Their lyrics were aggressive and they had a small fan base in Gothenburg. They had a few performances in Gothenburg where the biggest one was an outdoor consert on the Aveny in the city.

After Ekberg later denied that he was ever a Nazi, a compilation of the songs was released on a limited edition CD called "Uffe was a nazi!" by Flashback Records in 1998. The record also contained a booklet with pictures of Ekberg from this time, including three pictures where he makes a Hitler salute, one picture where he wears a KKK t-shirt and another one where he wears a swastika t-shirt. The songs on the record are quite explicit - for instance it contains a Swedish-language cover of Skrewdriver's "Smash the IRA" called "Smash the VPK". Some selected lyrics are "Män i vita kåporna på vägen tågar. Vi njuter när vi huvudena av niggrerna sågar"(Translation: men in white cowls march down the road, we enjoy ourselves when we saw off niggers’ heads), "Svartskalle, vi hatar dig! Ut, ut, ut, ut! Nordens folk, vakna nu! Skjut, skjut, skjut, skjut!"(Immigrant, we hate you! Out, Out, Out! Nordic people, wake up now! Shoot, shoot, shoot!), "Där niggrerna finns, följer fattigdom, svält och kulturellt mörker. Där de vita finns, följer civilisation, upplysning och välstånd. Vit makt, svartskalleslakt! Vit makt, svartskalleslakt!"(Where the niggers are, there will be poverty, starvation and cultural darkness. Where the white ones are, there will be civilisation, enlightenment and prosperity. White power! Immigrant slaughter! White power! Immigrant slaughter!) and "War, war, war, war".
