Coming Soon (2006 film)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Coming Soon is a 2006 fantasy film directed by Sir Tijn Po which explores the concepts of equality, love, tolerance, morality, censorship, tradition and experimentation. A large portion of the film follows the trials and tribulation of E.F.A. [1] - a Czech-based organization that is trying to bring about an international zoophile-rights revolution as well as absolute equality for all species. The authenticity of this organization has been challenged.
An unfinished version of COMING SOON won a Special award at the 2006 Festival Finale Plzen (Festival of Czech Films) [2] and is currently being distributed throughout the Czech Republic. An English-language version of the film is currently being prepared for international distribution.
The film has been receiving accolades from critics and viewers alike and the world-renown philosopher and Princeton University professor, Peter Singer, has recently described COMING SOON as "a film that manages to be both hilarious and disturbing, to entertain while it raises deep questions about the things we are, and are not, prepared to tolerate regarding the treatment of nonhuman animals."
