Combustion 4 is a computer program "for motion graphics, compositing and visual effects" (Discreet, n.d.). The software retails for $USD995 (MacMinute, 2004). It is commonly likened to Adobe's After Effects, and also shares a similar interface with Autodesk's (formerly "discreet", with lower case "d") higher-end offerings (Inferno, Flame, and Flint, all three of which are still marketed under the "discreet" name).
