Comair Flight 5054 was an Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia departing on March 19, 2001 from Nassau International Airport for the Orlando International Airport. While in route the plane experienced severe icing conditions resulting in a rapid loss of altitude. The crew was able to recover control of the aircraft and successfully land at the West Palm Beach Airport 12 minutes later. Of interest is that this craft was next off of the production line after N265CA which crashed in January 1997. See Comair Flight 3272

Comair discontinued the use of this aircraft type in October of 2002.
