Com Hem AB of Sweden, supplies triple play services that include cable TV, Digital television, broadband and telephony.

Founded in 1983 as Televerket Kabel-TV as part of the former state-owned Televerket, the company has been successively named Svenska Kabel-TV AB and Telia InfoMedia TeleVision AB, before becoming 'Com Hem' (Swedish: Come Home).

Com Hem has been a digital TV provider since 1997, and now reaches a third of Sweden’s households with over 100 channels in its offering. The company launched broadband services over its proprietary cable network in 1999, and when it introduced telephony in 2004, Com Hem became Sweden’s first nationwide triple play operator. The connected households have access to broadband services, services for fixed telephony (Voip) and a wide range of TV programmes. Com Hem also provides interactive services that facilitate management, communication and maintenance for property owners.

The company has around 700 employees with offices in Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö, Västerås and Härnösand. When Televerket was privatised, the company remained as part of Telia, before being bought by private equity firm EQT. Com Hem has been acquired by the US venture capital companies The Carlyle Group and Province Equity, from January 1, 2006.[1]
