Wikipedia has a policy against stating planned future events as if they had already happened. It's called "wikipedia is not a crystal ball". For example, Miller Park was planned to open in a particular year. The construction disaster pushed it back for a year. That's the problem. And that's why I've been reverting those changes. The article already states (or should state) when the planned opening date is, but until it actually happens, it hasn't happened. Wahkeenah 17:24, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

In regards to copying and pasting the content of Kingdome to The Kingdome at 02:46, 8 February 2007 UTC:[1] [2]

Please do not move or rename a page by copying/pasting its content, because doing so destroys the edit history. (The GFDL requires acknowledgement of all contributors, and editors continue to hold copyright on their contributions unless they specifically give up this right. Hence it is required that edit histories be preserved for all major contributions until the normal copyright expires.) If you come across a cut-and-paste move that should be fixed by merging the page histories, please follow the instructions here to have an administrator repair it.

If you cannot rename a page, or you think that the renaming may be controversial, please go to Wikipedia:Requested moves and list it there.

I noticed that you reverted several resized images to high resolution versions. To comply with U.S. copyright laws, copyrighted images that we use here should be of low resolution. Thanks for uploading Image:Faulk Blue Pants.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Hi,

It took me about 60 seconds to find this on Google Images. (shibe park bleachers) It is a larger version of your image, I believe, but it doesn't support some of the article text. You might want to change the image text to something like:

"Fans sitting on fences and roofs just to see the Athletics."

If you do use this image, please make sure that your Fair Use Rationale is added in addition to the licensing tag, like this one for a logo:


User:CollegeGameDayRocks! asserts that the limited use of this copyrighted image in Wikipedia articles directly pertaining to it is a fair use of the image, for the following reasons:

  • It is of the logo, helmet or uniform of an NFL team which retains the copyright.
  • It was obtained from the Sportslogos.net website which serves only to collect and archive these images.
  • No free-license alternatives are available that convey the same information.
  • The image is no larger, and of no higher quality, than required for its use in articles.
  • It is used in Wikipedia only for educational purposes and is not used for profit.
  • Its use on Wikipedia does not compete with the copyright holder.
  • Its use on Wikipedia is not expected to decrease the value of the copyright to its holder.
