Hi

A quick point.. in general there's no need to convert english spelling of words to american spelling. In general we try to stick to american spellings, but it's not considered to be an important enough issue to bother to change articles from one to the other. There's a page about it somewhere on wikipedia - probably have to search for it heh.

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

[edit] Image needed

The zig-zag bridge article needs an image similar to http://community.webshots.com/photo/35283097/35283775atqSqK - is it possible that you could provide one? Thanks, Leonard G. 00:54, 26 July 2005 (UTC)

Hi Colin. Just to let you know that I've slightly edited your photograph of Devils Tower to reduce "surplus" sky and trees. Essentially so that the subject dominates the image. The size alteration came out of a discussion I had with another editor (Walter Siegmund) about the images on the page. I hope that you don't mind, but please feel free to revert to your original image if you prefer it. Cheers, --Plumbago 11:23, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Copyright issues

Hi there. I've been flipping through a lot of St. Louis related articles and have noticed that you've submitted a large amount of photographs for the article. However, you've marked them with an obsolete copyright tag. I wanted to ask you to either do it yourself or give permission before I go through and change the tags to {{PD-user|Colin.faulkingham}}. --jcarkeys 02:51, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Criteria for Deleting Links?

So, what criteria are you using to justify your deletion of quaility and relevant links on Big_Bend_National_Park? What are the URLs to this criteria in Wikipekia's policies? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Npgallery (talkcontribs).

Look at Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-02-06 Pschemp. Nationalparks 21:53, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

And then consider ignoring Npgallery. Pschemp | Talk 22:12, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

The above is clearly a personal attack by Pschemp —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Npgallery (talkcontribs).

Wikipedia's external links policy guideline is pretty clear on the matter.

[edit] Mount Augustus

Thanks for pointing out that the current image is marked for deletion. I am chasing a number of web sites for permission to use their image for Wikipedia. Garglebutt / (talk) 06:45, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
