"Colossus was the name of at least one of the programs which ran on the very tiny computer in the Apollo Capsule which was a central part of the NASA project which first landed men on Earth's Moon. It is unknown whether the name was chosen to reflect a (then hidden) connection to the Colossus computer from Bletchley Park."

Is there any serious speculation that this was the reason for the NASA's name choice? — Matt Crypto 18:24, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)


Just a note: the link on this page to the Colossus of Rhodes says it's a statue to the god Helios, while the page itself says it's a statue to Apollo. Which is correct?
