Collusion also refers to a situation where a leader or respected person abuses a person in the group, and the members of the group side with the accused. It can be passive collusion as in not believing the victim or failing to get involved. Or it can be active collusion where there are people directly siding with the alleged abuser. An example of active collusion would be if someone in the group paid the legal fees of the alleged abuser.

NOTE: The above needs clairification. "the accused" is the "alleged abusor.

This transition is less then clear. This is important work because is builds a vocabulary for systems in our culture, which seems to be what is failing us now.
