I've reverted the paragraph on Harvey Butchart as I don't think it's relevant. However, a cursory googling seems to indicate that this guy qualifies for a separate article. I've preserved the reverted text below.
- Flagstaff, Arizona resident and college math professor Harvey Butchart was the first man to walk the 250-odd miles that was contained by the boundaries of Grand Canyon National Park, finishing just ahead of Fletcher in 1963. Butchart completed the first traverse one section at a time over 17 years, as establishing the entire route took much work and dedicated searching. It was Butchart who gave Fletcher the route information he needed to do the whole thing in one trip.
