Talk:Colchester Theatre Company

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ok, granted, I'm not familiar with high school theatre in Vermont, but what is the notability of this particular group?-Hornandsoccer 01:22, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

None. John Coon (the Colchester HS drama teacher referenced herein) has a tight-knit clique of students who think he's God and seek to proselytize on his behalf. For the record, I live in Colchester, VT and have witnessed the fawning behavior of his acolytes. I'm sure that one of them created this page and linked it to the Colchester, Vermont page.

Quite contrary to the rather negative tone of the previous entry, I am proud, being a Colchester resident, to have this dedicated theatre company in my hometown. Performances by this group have been phenomenally spectacular--which continual standing ovations reflect--and I am in full support of these talented high school students and their committed director. It's a shame that the captain above agrees differently and that the article is in consideration for deletion.

It's great that you're proud of your town, but Wikipedia is a worldwide project, not a local advertising agency. If it is notable, please, by all means, cite it. Please see Wikipedia:Notability-Hornandsoccer 05:10, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Ok, great. I'll add these websites to the main page and remove the template. Thanks for finding the articles.-Hornandsoccer 20:49, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
