Located in the Columbus Metropolitan Area, the Columbus Metropolitan Library has been ranked #1 in the country by Hennen's American Public Library Rating Index for 2005. The ranking is based on such categories as circulation of materials, patron visits per hour and number of volumes owned per capita. Last year, patrons borrowed more than 16 million items, made 8.2 million visits to the library and asked 1.2 million reference questions, making it one of the most used library systems in the United States.
With 22 locations located throughout the city, a Columbus Metropolitan Library branch is easily accessible from nearly every neighborhood in the city.
