Colossus is a roller coaster at Thorpe Park. Colossus was the world's first roller coaster with ten inversions; another, called the Tenth Ring Roller Coaster, was later built at Chimelong Paradise in Guangzhou, China, and is in fact an exact replica of Colossus, just painted different colours. [1] Colossus is also the world's first roller coaster with four heartline twists in a row. Also this was the first roller coaster to feature Intamin's new stadium style seating outside their mega coaster style cars. Colossus was manufactured by Intamin AG of Switzerland.
The roller coaster is located in the Lost City area, in the south of the park. Many people find the ride exhilarating, although some find it rough and painful. The ride is formed of a vertical loop, a cobra roll, two corkscrews and five inline twists.
