Collins is a village in St. Clair County, Missouri, United States. The population was 176 at the 2000 census.

Collins is located at 37°53′24″N, 93°37′11″W (37.890068, -93.619731)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 176 people, 73 households, and 48 families residing in the village. The population density was 453.0/km² (1,154.0/mi²). There were 86 housing units at an average density of 221.4/km² (563.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.16% White, 1.14% from other races, and 1.70% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.70% of the population.

There were 73 households out of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.6% were married couples living together, 15.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.2% were non-families. 27.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.83.

In the village the population was spread out with 25.6% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 23.3% from 25 to 44, 25.6% from 45 to 64, and 18.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 91.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.6 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $22,292, and the median income for a family was $24,375. Males had a median income of $30,313 versus $17,083 for females. The per capita income for the village was $10,344. About 31.1% of families and 30.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 45.2% of those under the age of eighteen and 18.2% of those sixty five or over.
