[edit] Story
Gordy Brewer is an L.A. firefighter who is scheduled to pick his wife and son up outside the Colombian embassy after work. Because he is late, his wife and son are forced to wait outside the embassy. Just as Brewer approaches the embassy, a terrorist attack by a Colombian rebel organization blows up the embassy, killing his wife and son. The rebels are led by an international terrorist named El Lobo or "the wolf". After realizing that no one will avenge him due to international protocol, Brewer decides to head down to Colombia to kill El Lobo himself. He eventually manages to sneak into the rebel camp and places a bomb inside El Lobo's bunker. This fails as El Lobo's wife and son approach the bunker and Brewer alerts them to the bomb, alerting El Lobo in the process. Brewer is then taken prisoner. Thanking him for saving his life, El Lobo's wife frees him and attempts to run away with him and her son. They are captured by an American patrol in the area, but Brewer is taken back to D.C. and hailed as a hero. El Lobo's wife reveals that El Lobo is in D.C. and has placed a bomb in the area. It is also revealed that El Lobo's wife is on his side. In the final showdown, Brewer prevents the bomb from exploding and also kills El Lobo and his wife in the process, thus exacting his revenge. He is awarded the Medal of Freedom and apparently takes in El Lobo's son.
[edit] Trivia
During the bombing of the consulate, El Lobo is disguised as a motorcycle police officer. His police outfit is identical to that of the T-1000 (Robert Patrick) who was also disguised as an L.A. police officer in the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
