Collapsible Three

Collapsible Three is a soul/funk improvisational band hailing from Worcester, MA. The band plays music in the spirit of The Meters, Medeski Martin & Wood, Grant Green and Greyboy Allstars but add a modern psychedelic element to what they do. The band is Steve Mossberg on Hammond Organ playing basslines and lead melody lines, Craig Rawding on vocals and sound effects, using looping devices and other audio effects and Duncan Arsenault on drums and loop triggering. Songs are not pre-written but themes are often revisited during performances. The sound was once described as "spaced-out pieces of music steeped in funk, soul and the sort of fractured sound craft one finds on the last few Radiohead records". The band is currently performing in the Boston, MA and Worcester, MA area and has received local music awards for "best funk/soul act".
