Colin Woodthorpe

Colin Woodthorpe (born 13 January 1969 in Liverpool) is an English footballer currently playing for Bury.

Woodthorpe started his career at Chester City, making his debut in 1986. He made 155 appearances at left-back and scored 6 times before signing forNorwich City for £175,000 in 1990. While at Norwich, he played in the UEFA Cup against Inter Milan in the San Siro Stadium. He signed for Aberdeen for £400,000 in 1994 after limited appearances at Norwich but never settled in Scotland and in 1997 signed for Stockport County for £120,000.

Despite captaining Stockport in 2001-02 he was given a free transfer by then-manager Carlton Palmer.

Woodthorpe signed for Bury in 2002 on a free transfer.
