Coles SuperCentres
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Coles SuperCentres are expected to be a chain of hypermarkets opening in late 2007. They are to be owned by major Australian retailer Coles Group.
There are plans to open 80 hypermarkets around Australia in the next five years. Around 40 ex-Super Kmart stores, which were divided last decade into separate Coles and Kmart stores, will be re-merged into Coles SuperCentres. It is also expected that the current Pick 'n Pay Hypermarkets will become Coles SuperCentres.
These Coles SuperCentres will have clearly defined departments which will include:
- a cafe and/or fast food outlet
- Supermarket, stocking a complete range
- apparel (to be know as Fosseys)
- Photo Lab (possibly Pixie Foto, or a Coles branded name)
- Toy department including childrens play gym (to be known as World 4 Kids)
- Full range hardware department including timber
- furniture department
- white goods department
- Audio/Visual department
- Fabrics and Haberdashery department
- Coles Liquor.
