Cold War Kids are an indie rock band from Fullerton, California, USA. Band members are Nathan Willett (vocals, piano), Jonnie Russell (guitar), Matt Maust (bass guitar) and Matt Aveiro (drums).

They have released three EPs via Monarchy Music, and they appeared at the 2006 SXSW music festival and the 2006 Lollapalooza music festival. In 2006 they signed to Downtown Records in North America and V2 for the rest of the world. They have toured in support of Tapes 'n Tapes, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Sound Team. Their music is heavily inspired by blues including artists such as Bob Dylan, Velvet Underground and Johnny Segment. They appeared on Soccer AM and were announced as Norwich City FC Fans.
